DUNE ENGINEERINGOUR PROJECTS Dune Engineering has an extensive project management experience in Nigeria. These engagements are spread through development sectors of health, water supply, agriculture, road development, education and social services. Under the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President, we were engaged as Project Consultants for Bauchi State, for four years from 2008. We were involved with the supervision and contract administration of the construction and supplies for the Constituencies Projects of Members of the National Assembly. Boreholes, Schools, Medical Facilities with there corresponding supplies were executed under our watch in communities spread around the Local Government Areas. Additional responsibility was given to us with the addition of Gombe State projects to administer as well as the management of the warehouse facility covering the North East Zone. In 2012, we were engaged to provide the same services in Kebbi State. The Educational Trust Fund engaged our firm in the ad-hoc team monitoring of year 2007/2008 intervention projects at the secondary school sub-sector in Borno state which was carried out in October 2011. The National Primary Health Care Development Agency required our services to evaluate all abandoned construction of health care facilities in the North East. An average of 5 such facilities per each state were assessed. Our report detailed the requirement to completion which was subsequently used to procure contractors for the successful completion works. Sustainable Development of Mineral Resources Department of the Federal Ministry of Mines secured funding from the World Bank to be applied on environmental services. Dune was engaged to design mine reclamation plans for abandoned mines in Yobe and Borno States. These plans were used to properly reclaim them. Our firm was involved as project consultants for the National Programme on Food Security/ Bank of Industry for the construction of 10 small scale agro processing centres in 10 states, five of the locations in the North East covering groundnut oil, rice mill and kilishi productions. A facility was also constructed in Yobe State financed by the Islamic Development Bank. As a measure to protect vaccines, the Global Fund provided funds to the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) to renovate state medical stores nationwide. Dune Engineering Limited was engaged to cover all the North Eastern States. Facilities were assessed and eventually the state medical store in Jalingo was renovated under the first phase of the project. Our firm supervised the renovation contract successfully. We have conducted environmental impact assessment on behalf of mining companies from gold to lead mining activities. The mining companies were successfully guided throughout community interfaces, agreements on corporate social responsibility projects, panel reviews and ultimately a proper impact assessment and implementation of mitigation measures. Dune Engineering has offered services to tertiary institutions in Borno, Bauchi, Taraba and Adamawa States. Projects from laboratory, hostels, workshops, medical facilities etc have been undertaken. We have managed projects from rural facilities to large infrastructural developments as roads and multi story buildings. We have helped in setting up institutions, experienced rural settings as well as urban environments successfully.
